Poultry Science Association to present awards

Winners honored at Denver annual meeting

The Poultry Science Association will honor two dozen people and induct newly elected fellows at its July annual meeting in Denver. The gathering will include presentation and discussion of hundreds of papers authored by organization members.

Newly elected Fellows of the Poultry Science Association:

  • Murray R. Bakst, Ph.D. (USDA/ARS - Beltsville, Md.)
  • Henry M. Engster, Ph.D. (Perdue Farms)
  • Andrew F. Giesen III, Ph.D. (Novus International)
  • Muquarrab A. Qureshi, Ph.D. (USDA/CSREES - Washington, DC)
  • Paul L. Ruszler Sr., Ph.D. (Virginia Tech University)

The four-day session, July 11-15, will also include the Emerging Issues Symposium, “Social Sustainability of Egg Production.” The meeting will be held jointly with the American Society of Animal Science, the American Dairy Science Association, the Canadian Society of Animal Science and the Asociación Mexicana de Producción Animal.
