Wingstop reports sales growth

Wingstop announced a 1.5% increase in same store sales for the first two quarters of 2010. With this, the Texas-based chicken wing restaurant chain reported it has experienced 28 quarters, or seven years of growth in same store sales.

Wingstop announced a 1.5% increase in same store sales for the first two quarters of 2010. With this, the Texas-based chicken wing restaurant chain reported it has experienced 28 quarters, or seven years of growth in same store sales.

The company, founded in 1994, has more than 440 restaurants in the U.S. and Mexico, 95% of them franchise owned. Wingstop plans to open 50 more franchised locations this year, including the first store in New York and additional restaurants in Mexico, Chicago and Kansas City.
