UK pork products supplier Cranswick reports that its total sales in the first quarter of 2010 reached at £198 million (US$304.5 million) – 19% higher than a year ago.
The East Yorkshire-based firm, which supplies supermarkets including Sainsbury's and Tesco, reported substantial gains in fresh pork, bacon and sandwiches and continued growth in cooked meats and sausages, offset by a reduction in sales of continental products.
