Sales up for Industrias Bachoco

Industrias Bachoco, Mexican poultry producer and processor, reported a 3.6% increase in sales for the second quarter of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009. In reporting its second quarter results for the period ended June 30, 2010, company CEO Cristobal Mondragon said Bachoco saw a seasonal demand for chicken products rise with positive results in the swine, balance feed and other business lines, but weaker egg results.

In reporting its second quarter results for the period ended June 30, 2010, company CEO Cristobal Mondragon said Bachoco saw a seasonal demand for chicken products rise with positive results in the swine, balance feed and other business lines, but weaker egg results.

The company also reported Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) of 953.7 Pesos, a 15.4% margin, versus 17% in the second quarter 2009. The volume of chicken, eggs and swine rose 14.3%, 0.5% and 10%, respectively.
