Bettcher Industries has appointed Horacio Maestretti as international sales manager, responsible for sales and market development functions for the company’s product line in Europe.
Maestretti has a 23-year background in food processing technology and equipment. During this time, he managed international sales, technical service and product development activities for four companies based in Europe and Latin America. Maestrtti holds a Master of Science in industrial engineering from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. The appointment of Maestretti is part of Bettcher's initiative to expand its product line and international activities. According to David Quebbermann, vice president of sales and marketing, over half of the company's sales revenues currently come from business outside of the U.S.
