Meyn Food Processing Technology B.V. and Praxair Inc. are working together on a new Controlled Atmosphere Stunning (CAS) system for poultry that will be developed and marketed to Europe, Latin America and Asia.

The combination of technologies uses a Praxair-developed carbon dioxide-based CAS system with Meyn's new drawer system and container systems. The result will, according to both companies, eliminate the processing and transporting of active birds and reduce handling stress and damage to the birds.
