Smartphones show meat details

Meat sector publication AFZ Journal says that German shoppers will soon be able to use their smartphones to find information about the origin of the meat they see on display in the retail store. Processing company Tönnies and retailer Aldi South have worked together to give customers the ability to obtain a special smartphone application, which will then bring details of a product on screen when the barcode of that product is scanned by the phone.
