New faculty poultry veterinarian position created at UC Davis

The California Poultry Industry Federation, in cooperation with the Pacific Egg and Poultry Association, will combine resources to jointly fund 50% of a faculty position for a poultry veterinarian at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The incumbent will be appointed on the basis of experience in prevention and control of infectious diseases and procedures to maintain the health of flocks and to enhance food safety.

The incumbent will be appointed on the basis of experience in prevention and control of infectious diseases and procedures to maintain the health of flocks and to enhance food safety. The poultry veterinarian will cooperate with the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System and will be based at the William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
