Regional animal feed cooperative Growmark Inc. has finalized its acquisition of the assets of corn seed supplier Select Seed based in Camden, Ind. 

The acquisition “supports Growmark's strategies to grow in and from its core businesses, as well as to expand our marketing territory," said Seed Division Manager Ron Milby. Select Seed will continue to operate as an independent brand within the Growmark family, according to the company.  

The transaction closed May 2, 2011; terms were not disclosed.
