Dutch animal feed supplier De Heus International and Dutch agriculture equipment supplier MS Schippers have partnered with Chinese company Wellhope Group to expand their presence in China's livestock market.
The companies said they hope to combine MS Schippers' experience in the professional livestock industry, De Heus' sales infrastructure and Wellhope's location to accomplish their goal. The new partnership will also focus on improving food safety through a reduction in the use of antibiotics and optimization of the hygiene status on livestock farms; preventing animal disease outbreaks and avoiding the spread of diseases inside and between livestock farms; and optimizing technical and economical results for each livestock farm.
The joint venture will become operational in October 2011.
