Cargill has bought out Costa Rica poultry and meat producer Corporación Pipasa Costa Rica-Nicaragua, according to reports. Cargill's purchase is part of the company's overall business plan for Central America.

Cargill has bought out Costa Rica poultry and meat producer Corporación Pipasa Costa Rica-Nicaragua, according to reports.

Cargill's purchase is part of the company's overall business plan for Central America. The acquisition will greatly expand Cargill's presence in Costa Rica, as Pipasa currently has a 60% market penetration. Cargill will officially take over the company on June 2. The final purchase price has not been released.
