Prevention of pig diseases focus of Pfizer symposium

The future prevention of emerging pig diseases will be the subject of a special satellite symposium sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health as part of the upcoming 6th International Symposium on Emerging and Re-emerging Pig Diseases, scheduled to be held in Barcelona, Spain. The meeting will provide an update on the development of vaccines to prevent some of the diseases causing most concern among scientists and veterinarians and posing the biggest threats to the swine industry.

The meeting will provide an update on the development of vaccines to prevent some of the diseases causing most concern among scientists and veterinarians and posing the biggest threats to the swine industry. Presentation subjects include vaccine vector development, EC-funded development of a marker vaccine for classical swine fever, prospects for a vaccine against African swine fever, PRRSV and PCV2. The satellite symposium is open to all delegates and will be held in the main congress center on June 13 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
