World Pork Expo brings producers, industry experts to Des Moines, Iowa

Nearly 20,000 pork producers and industry experts from around the world will gather at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa, for the World Pork Expo that runs June 8-10. The Expo, put on by the National Pork Producers Council, will have more than 450 commercial exhibits on display, offering information on pork marketing and management, legislative updates, animal health, environmental topics, new product seminars and other issues affecting the pork industry.

The Expo, put on by the National Pork Producers Council, will have more than 450 commercial exhibits on display, offering information on pork marketing and management, legislative updates, animal health, environmental topics, new product seminars and other issues affecting the pork industry. 

“Each year, NPPC hosts World Pork Expo to share industry advancements that help producers improve profitability as they provide safe, nutritious, affordable pork,” said Doug Wolf, NPCC president. “Proceeds from this event, which attracts nearly 20,000 people from countries far and wide, then are used to develop and defend export markets, fight for reasonable legislation and regulation, and inform and educate legislators.”
