O.K. Foods Chairman Collier Wenderoth Jr. dies at 87

O.K. Foods Inc. Chairman Collier Wenderoth Jr. died June 6, at the age of 87. Wenderoth also served as chairman of the National Chicken Council from 1978 to 1980.

O.K. Foods Inc. Chairman Collier Wenderoth Jr. died June 6, at the age of 87.

Wenderoth also served as chairman of the National Chicken Council from 1978 to 1980. He was recognized as a "Pioneer of the Industry" at NCC's 50th anniversary national conference in 2004. “Collier Wenderoth was a visionary leader of the poultry industry, building his family company and the entire industry with it,” said George Watts, president emeritus of NCC. “He was always generous with his time and energy. As a business and civic leader, he commanded respect in Arkansas and across the country. He will truly be missed.”

Wenderoth is survived by his wife Nancy, four daughters, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
