Pig symposium educates on latest diseases, preventative measures

The 6th International Symposium on Emerging and Re-emerging Pig Diseases allowed veterinarians and scientists from around the world to present the latest relevant information on emerging and re-emerging diseases, with special emphasis on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine circovirus diseases and swine influenza. The event, which took place from June 12 through 15 in Barcelona, Spain, was attended by 1,016 delegates from 62 countries.

The 6th International Symposium on Emerging and Re-emerging Pig Diseases allowed veterinarians and scientists from around the world to present the latest relevant information on emerging and re-emerging diseases, with special emphasis on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, porcine circovirus diseases and swine influenza.

The event, which took place from June 12 through 15 in Barcelona, Spain, was attended by 1,016 delegates from 62 countries. The symposium presented a total of 11 key note lectures, 35 oral communications and 257 scientific posters.
