Diamond V began construction of a $4.5 billion worldwide headquarters and expansion of its fermentation technology manufacturing plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The headquarters, scheduled to open in July 2011, will add 17,000 square feet to support a 65% increase in administrative, technical service and sales support personnel.
