Alltech has started construction on a New Mexico production facility that will focus on the company's animal feed additive Optigen, a non-protein nitrogen source.

The Optigen plant is part of the company’s overall growth plan and reinforces its commitment to the Southwest animal feed production industries, according to Alltech. Construction should be completed on the Optigen plant by the end of July with product manufacturing starting soon after.
