Velmurugu “Ravi” Ravindran, Ph.D., an international animal nutrition expert, was recognized for his professional achievements by the Poultry Science Association with the Poultry Nutrition Research Award.
Ravindran is a professor at the Institute of Food Nutrition & Animal Health at Massey University in New Zealand, where he specializes in poultry nutrition with emphasis on nutrient metabolism, feed enzymes, feed evaluation, amino acid availability, gut flora management and early nutrition in poultry.
