Tyson Foods is more than 90% vaccinated ahead of its own vaccine deadline. Where will the rest of the industry soon stand?

U.S. President Joe Biden and his administration say a lack of competition in the meat and poultry industry is playing a key role in the rising prices at the consumer level, and because of those beliefs, the administration is promising to take action by enforcing antitrust laws and boost competition.

Labor unions have agreed to support Tyson Foods’ requirement for U.S. employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by November.

Employees at Tyson Foods’ U.S. chicken processing plants who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be entered into a weekly drawing for $10,000.
