Hyperprolific sows often produce underweight pigs at birth, something that can be counteracted by enhanced production of colostrum.
Hyperprolific sows often produce underweight pigs at birth, something that can be counteracted by enhanced production of colostrum. Improved knowledge on feeding sows during the transition period from late gestation to early lactation seems to be a central key for improving productivity of hyperprolific sows.
