My first day at EuroTier left me exhausted, yet extremely satisfied. This show lives up to its promise to be one of the best places to be when it comes to animal nutrition, worldwide. I visited with many old friends, clients, and colleagues. Plenty of space to walk around, many interesting new concepts and, above all, good lightning. A very professional show that has already paid for itself, and it is only day one.
On new things of note, I have seen quite a bit of movement towards the liquid nutrition concept, as a means of delivering additives at critical points in life, either post-weaning for piglets or post-placement for broilers. I will be exploring this concept in future articles.
Quite a bit of suppliers from Asia are now present in large and very hospitable booths, with synthetic valine being something that drew my attention. I was already aware that synthetic valine is available for commercial use, but not of the coverage it enjoys, especially in Asia.
All in all a very satisfying day. More tomorrow, but for now just a few pictures from EuroTier.
