The traditional ceremony of the Latin American Poultry Hall of Fame was carried out during this past OVUM. Established in 1987, the Latin American Poultry Hall of Fame is used to identify and honor those individuals who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of the Latin American poultry industry.
This year we have three new members who join the 73 existing members inducted throughout the hall’s 37-year history. In this select group there are producers, entrepreneurs, professionals, university professors and researchers, women and men, each and every one of them with impressive careers.
The selection of the new members for the Hall of Fame was made by a jury of 10 professionals from various areas of the poultry industry, such as genetics, nutrition, poultry associations, additives, production, academia and media from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru.
In this call, 12 candidates were presented from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
It was a honor to present the awards to the three people selected this year.
