Five U.S. poultry integrators have been named to Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces 2024 list.

Those companies are Pilgrim’s Pride, Mountaire Farms, Peco Foods, Simmons Foods and Fieldale Farms. Those five are respectively the second, fourth, seventh, 12th and 14th largest broiler producers in the United States, according to information from the WATTPoultry.com Top Poultry Companies Database.

Pilgrim’s, Mountaire and Fieldale were all listed under the “Meat, Poultry & Fish” industry, while Peco and Simmons were listed under the “Food & Beverage Producers” industry.

Of the five poultry producers to make the list, all but Fieldale were listed to the large-size company category, which was listed as a mid-size company. Large-size companies have more than 5,000 employees, while mid-size companies have between 1,000 and 4,999 employees.

The list was complied following research done by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group.

Throughout 2022 and 2023, more than 250,000 U.S. employees were interviewed for the ranking. The survey covered topics such as compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life balance and company culture.

Post survey desk research considered each ranked companies online mentions, diversity and inclusion ratings, and reviews of senior management.
