
Post Holdings, parent company of Michael Foods, has agreed to acquire Potato Products of Idaho (PPI). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
PPI, a limited liability company, is a manufacturer and packager of refrigerated and frozen potato products. The acquisition includes a manufacturing facility in Rigby, Idaho, Post stated in a press release. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first calendar quarter of 2025, Post's second quarter of fiscal year 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
On its website, Michael Foods describes itself as a multi-billion-dollar supplier of foodservice, food ingredient and retail offerings that specializes in value-added eggs and refrigerated potatoes.
The press release did not state whether PPI’s operations would become part of the Michael Foods operations.
