A year after launching two unique chicken sandwiches, including a buffalo chicken sandwich topped with mac and cheese, Chester’s Chicken decided to give its classic fried chicken sandwich a facelift.
“If you love fried chicken sandwiches, prepare to meet the new boss. We’re constantly looking at ways to innovate and make our menu even better,” said Scott Richard, director of culinary innovation. “We made all the right tweaks to perfect our new fried chicken sandwich and the taste is a knockout we know guests will crave.”
The tweaks include a marinated and double-breaded whole breast fillet, Chester’s sauce, pickles and a Martin’s Famous potato roll.
Chester’s first launched its fried chicken sandwich in 2019 – the height of the chicken sandwich wars – and sold 3 million of the chicken sandwiches in 2022.

While the Buffalo Mac Chicken sandwich – topped with mac and cheese – is no longer on the menu, the Honey Stung Chicken sandwich was brought back after being offered for a limited time, most likely due to its popularity.
The Honey Stung sandwich was featured in the Convenience Store Products’ annual “Retailer Choice Best New Products Contest;” it gets its unique flavor from Frank’s RedHot Stingin’ Honey Garlic Sauce.
The menu also currently features two other chicken sandwiches: a BBQ sandwich and a Buffalo sandwich. And, breaking the mold, the chain also offers fried chicken livers and gizzards.
