BASF Natuphos feed enzyme

BASF Natuphos is a feed enzyme (phytase) for improving phosphate utilization, especially for poultry and pigs, enabling the reduction of feed supplementation with inorganic phosphorus and total P-content of the diet. Natuphos, a 3-phytase obtained from Aspergillus niger, efficiently breaks down phytate. Feeding trials have proven and quantified the releasing effect of Natuphos on phytate-bound minerals and nutrients. From these results, nutrient equivalencies were deduced allowing use of Natuphos in least-cost formulation of feed. National regulations may vary and need to be considered prior to the use of the product.
