The bioMérieux VIDAS UP (SPT) assay utilizes phage protein technology, which delivers unprecedented specificity and sensitivity, to detect low levels of contamination in as little as 19 hours as compared to reference methods which require up to three days. The shorter time to detection, enabled by the new phage technology, will provide food producers with the ability to detect with speed, reliability and ease to contribute to lowering the incidence of foodborne illness outbreaks.
