The Xpert C400 from Thermo Fisher Scientific is a next-generation X-ray system for contaminant detection and product inspection. The Xpert C400 detects metal, glass, dense plastics and other contaminants in packaged food. The system can also analyze an X-ray image to estimate weight or fill, as well as count or assure that objects are inside a packaged item. The system’s detectors are available in multiple resolutions (0.8/0.4mm) and operates over a temperature range of 5 C to 40 C. They can be optionally upgraded to meet IP69K washdown specifications.
