H.J. Baker offers the MetaboLys bypass lysine for increased milk production in cows. The company says MetaboLys is digestible in the small intestine, but resistant to degradation by ruminal microorganisms and protects lipid-coated lysine sulphate in the rumen. Studies at the University of Georgia show that MetaboLys improves lactation and efficiency, protein nutrition, and production response.
