Sterling Systems & Controls, Inc. customized mill monitoring systems are for use with the Prater brand mills and classifiers. Mills and Classifiers are high speed rotating machinery.  Sterling’s Mill Monitors automatically watch over the mill bearing, inboard and outboard bearings, temperatures and acceleration and provide output to control systems. The monitoring system has the capability to detect and warn the system prior to a shutdown condition when vibration or temperature values are abnormal, and can eliminate major damage by stopping equipment automatically.
