Chore-Time introduces a multi-tier version of its proven VALEGO nest system – the VALEGO PAGODA.
Designed for flexibility, VALEGO PAGODA Nests provide more space for birds in less area, making them a fit for any laying operation, whether a traditional, non-aviary type or a cage-free aviary. The multi-tier capability is ideal for situations where there is abundant vertical space in the house, but nest space is limited.
The PAGODA Nest is available with many options to best fit any facility or producer goals. Choose Chore-Time’s patented Rack Drive Expulsion (RDE) system, which is an expeller that gently moves birds from the rear of the nest, or a floor expeller (RFE). Nests are available with either flat-top or peaked roofs. Flat roofs can be counted as additional floor space. Flat roofs are also hinged, making nests more accessible for inspections, maintenance and cleaning.
For egg handling, operators can choose either 10-inch (250-mm) woven polypropylene belts, 10-inch (250-mm) polypropylene belts with holes or 20-inch (500-mm) polypropylene belts with holes.
VALEGO PAGODA Nests are also designed for flexibility with surrounding components. They can be connected to a slatted area in front of the nest opening or approach platforms to allow easier access on all levels. Drinkers can be mounted in front of nest openings to help attract birds, if preferred.
The system’s nest walls and roofs are constructed of durable, A-grade, film-faced plywood, which is easier to clean and more damage resistant than plastic or steel alternatives. Nests are mounted on corrosion-resistant stainless-steel legs, which are available in multiple lengths to further provide flexibility to fit any facility.
