Abbi-Fan 140-X, from Abbi-Sun, has an energy-saving design: the shape of the Venturi in the cowl means more air moved for same motor size compared with a conventional flat-edged frame, as the fluted profile gives less air resistance. This shape was defined by university simulations in Belgium. Synthetic materials used for cowl allow better moulding of shape compared with metal types.
