The SG Systems Vantage batch and lot-tracking system is a personal computer-based automation system that can interface with control systems on the production floor. The company loads recipes into the system’s database, which then sends the recipes to control stations on the product floor. The software prompts operators step-by-step through the recipe on a display at the control station. Vantage can also track raw material lots to specific batches. Batch numbers created by the mixer are automatically passed through to the end of line terminal, creating a link between the mix and finished product.
