MS Gynogel from MS Schippers is an aseptic lubrication gel to decrease the risk of inadvertently introducing infection when assisting at the farrowing of a sow. This gel can be used at any time during the birth process. The supplier also markets a disposable birth-mat, made of a felt-like material with a high insulation value. Besides its use behind the sow at farrowing, it can be placed in the creep area to give newborn piglets a warm and comfortable resting place.
