Farbest Foods

Farbest Foods is a family-owned, vertically integrated turkey producer based in Huntingburg, Indiana. It was founded in 1982 and supplies raw, fresh and frozen turkey products to brand-name, value-added and further processors around the world. It employs 1,300 people.
Farbest slaughtered 639 million pounds of live turkey in 2023, an increase from 630 million pounds in 2022. Its 2023 sales were $700 million, an increase from $683 million in 2022. The company’s product mix is 80% fresh and 20% frozen. At point of sale, its products are 100% raw. Its sales channels are 75% further processing and 25% exports. In its 2023 survey response, Farbest said 2% of its flock is raised either antibiotics-free or with no antibiotics ever. The company has completed the final phases of its renovation of its Huntingburg, Indiana, processing plant, the expansion of its Bruceville feed manufacturing mill and its new brooder farm.
In January 2023, Jarod Morrison, Farbest Foods chief financial officer, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY).
