Another egg farm explosion
In November 2024, an egg farm located near Newton, Kansas, also experienced an explosion, which led to a house on the premises containing approximately 20,000 birds to catch fire. The structure collapsed and the birds were not able to be saved.
No injuries were reported at the time of the incident and the owners of the farm were not identified. The cause of the explosion appeared to be related to a gas leak.
