WEBINAR: Biosecurity, your poultry’s defense against avian flu

9/15/16 10:00 am CDT

1609_PG-and-sponsorsThe outbreaks of avian influenza virus that swept through the upper Midwestern U.S. in 2015 and Indiana in 2016 pointed out deficiencies in biosecurity plans for many poultry farms. The outbreaks are over, for now, but experts suspect that avian flu virus is still present in U.S. wild bird populations. Migratory birds will be on the move again this fall and this means that U.S. poultry growers need to have tighter biosecurity procedures in place to try and keep the virus out of their flocks.

This is the third webinar in the 2016 Poultry Grower Webinar Series.

This webinar will broadcast at 10:00 AM Central.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

  • How to develop a practical risk- based biosecurity program.
  • How to identify critical weak links in biosecurity program and practices
  • Science based vector control and biosecurity interventions
  • How to validate your biosecurity program

This webinar is sponsored by Neogen and BASF, and is presented by WATT Global Media
