Jonna Parker, principal at IRI Fresh

Jonna has been an innovator in the fresh foods space for nearly two decades driving the evolution of consumer-centric decision making and big data analytics throughout the perimeter. She has worked extensively in each perimeter department: Meat, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Seafood, Dairy and Floral with both suppliers and retailers. Since its inception, Jonna helped lead the Nielsen Perishables Group client management team and was instrumental in developing IRI logoconsumer/shopper insights for fresh. She shared her fresh perspective as a spokesperson on all things fresh with industry associations and the media including, NPR, Wall Street Journal and Supermarket News. After Nielsen, Jonna joined a global bakery company to launch a consumer and category insights initiative. Her work resulted in wins at major retailers and food service organizations for ARYZTA and the La Brea Bakery brand. Jonna brought her passion for delivering growth in 2016 as the IRI team leader for a global CPG. She oversaw massive change – as the company doubled in size through acquisition, moved from Arizona to Connecticut and implemented IRI’s new Liquid Data and Unify technologies to hundreds of data users. Jonna transformed the 12-person IRI team with an insights focus and “growth delivered” mindset. She now leads IRI’s Fresh Center of Excellence, leveraging deep fresh expertise with IRI’s fully integrated fresh & center-store data on market performance, consumer behavior and big data analytics. Her team works across IRI’s partner eco-system of retailers and manufacturers focused on fresh. Jonna graduated with highest honors from Bradley University with a degree in public relations and marketing and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

 

Joyce Neth, vice president, director of audience development and research at WATT Global Media

Joyce Neth is vice president, director of audience development and research, for WATT Global Media. She is responsible for creating insights for strategic decisions, audience marketing, product marketing and proprietary research using knowledge from WATT’s database of audience behavior and demographics. Prior to joining WATT in 2006, Neth held senior research positions at two major-market newspaper companies. She started her career as a marketing engineer for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Neth is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania, and earned a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

 

Dr. Guillermo Zavala is the founder of Avian Health International.  Dr Zavala holds a DVM and a specialty in poultry production from the University of Mexico; a Master of Science, a Master of Avian Medicine, and a PhD in medical microbiology from the University of Georgia. He has worked in broiler and breeding companies, vaccine companies, one diagnostic laboratory, two academic institutions and as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Population Health, University of Georgia. His field of research is in applied virology (CIAV, IBDV, tumor viruses, ILT, enteric viruses and fowl adenovirus). He has 32 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
