Dr. Leonardo Linares, Global RNS Species Leader – Poultry, Zinpro

Dr. Leonardo Linares is the Global RNS Species Leader – Poultry at Zinpro. He earned his doctoral degree in animal science from the University of Missouri. He directs research and technical nutritional services for the Zinpro RNS poultry team worldwide.





Maureen Bain, professor, University of Glasgow 

Over the past 30 years, Maureen Bain has developed an interdisciplinary line of research developing novel methods for assessing egg and eggshell quality and has been involved in a number of EU and BBSRC funded collaborative projects concerned with improving the quality and safety of eggs. Her expertise and research profile in egg quality research and avian reproduction has led to the establishment of longstanding partnerships with industry stakeholders including breeding companies in the egg and meat sectors of the industry. She has supervised many undergraduate and post graduate research projects, published more than 140 scientific papers, written numerous book chapters and delivered talks on the subject of egg quality through various media nationally and internationally. Bain is a council member of the U.K. branch of WPSA, and British Poultry Science Ltd. and, until 2018, was the chairperson of the European Poultry Federation WG4 (Egg and Egg products). Through these roles, she has been able to influence policy and provide support for early career researchers and workers involved with the poultry industry. She was made a full professor in 2013, and having taught in the School of Veterinary Medicine for most of her academic career, was appointed as college Dean for Learning and Teaching in 2018. In this role, she has responsibility for all undergraduate teaching in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life sciences.
