Dunkin' Donuts was named National Turkey Federation's second Turkey Trendsetter of 2009 for its use of turkey sausage in a breakfast sandwich.
The egg white, turkey sausage flatbread offering, created by Chef Stan Frankenthaler, executive chef and director of culinary development at Dunkin' Donuts, is the first breakfast dish under the trendsetter category. It is made by combining egg whites, turkey sausage, spinach and melted mozzarella cheese on multigrain flatbread.
