The 34th SPACE is scheduled for 15 to 18 September 2020 at the Rennes Exhibition Centre. The event, which is international in scope, brings together more than 1,400 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors every year.
Due to the global outbreak of COVID 19, it is not clear whether we will be able to hold the event as expected, since we don't yet know if large gatherings such as SPACE will be authorised in September, and if it will be possible to properly implement the health measures required to keep people safe.
Therefore, in order to keep the participants and especially the exhibitors informed in a timely manner before the event, the organisers will make a final decision on whether to continue or cancel SPACE 2020 by mid-June at the latest.
The entire agricultural sector is a significant and essential driver for our economy. The visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Brittany on 22 April, during which he “paid tribute to those who feed the country”, clearly signals the importance of farming. It is with this in mind and to support all the links in the food supply chain that we continue to do everything we can so that SPACE 2020 can take place if all the necessary conditions are met.
