2023 Petfood Forums speakers announced

Registration for Petfood Forum now open, speakers announced.

Petfood Forum has confirmed David Allison and Mary Kelly as keynote speakers for the 2023 event, scheduled for May 1-3 in Kansas City, Mo., USA. Registration is currently open with super-early-bird savings available, providing registrants the lowest rates offered to attend the global pet food industry’s annual conference and exhibition.

“We are pleased to announce the all-star keynote lineup for Petfood Forum 2023,” said Debbie Phillips-Donaldson, editor-in-chief of Petfood Industry. “David and Mary will present data, information and insights to help businesses make critical decisions, strategies to engage and influence both employees and consumers, and provide key takeaways to tackle the issues companies face today.”

David Allison, founder of the Valuegraphics Project, will kick off the morning sessions on Tuesday, May 2. Allison helps brands and marketers track consumer behavior and trends using a unique metric. Rather than monitoring traditional factors like consumer demographics, he leads with Valuegraphics, a one-of-a-kind database compiled of the core values of hundreds of thousands of consumers from around the world. He will share the common core values of pet owners, based on an exclusive survey conducted uniquely for Petfood Forum to help brands and companies anticipate consumer behaviors and needs for the types of pet foods and treats they seek to buy.

On Wednesday, May 3, Mary Kelly will present Futurenomics: an economic snapshot of all the issues affecting the economy—and pet food businesses—now, including inflation, staffing shortages and ongoing supply chain disruptions. She will provide solutions and handouts to help attendees understand how to best lead teams through difficult situations. Kelly is an internationally recognized economist, author and speaker who shares her perspective on creating strong leadership, productivity and communication. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, with a Ph.D. in economics, she has learned many lessons in leadership during more than 20 years of active duty in intelligence and logistics.

In addition to the keynote presentations, Petfood Forum includes unique networking opportunities with top decision-makers and dozens of educational sessions, led by globally recognized experts focused on the latest pet food trends, processes and innovations. The 2023 event also features a robust exhibit hall floor where attendees will engage with supplier companies crucial to the global pet food industry.
