Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) attended the National Poultry Show that hosts farmers and industry professionals from across Ontario. The long-standing tradition of the poultry industry gathering returned after a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19 and Avian Influenza.
The National Poultry Show has grown to be one of North America's premier poultry trade shows, bringing together the best in the poultry industry with the latest in poultry technology, innovation, and education. CFO was excited to provide two days of education and CFO updates along with a chicken wing reception for all participants to enjoy.
“We were excited to see the National Poultry Show return in person after three years of cancellations and changes. The National Poultry Show is a great opportunity for farmers to ask questions and meet with CFO Board Directors, District Committee Representatives, and staff,” said Murray Opsteen, Chair of Chicken Farmers of Ontario. “CFO was thrilled to once again offer Ontario grown chicken for participants to enjoy at our Chicken Wing Reception. Ontario chicken farmers are proud members of their community and enjoy providing Ontarians with safe, healthy, locally-grown chicken”
CFO represents 1,300 family-run farms, in over 330 communities across the province. Ontario’s chicken farmers are an integral part of the value chain, that supports 22,000 jobs and contributes over $4.2 billion in economic activity each year.
