The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) wrapped up a successful 2023 trade show with 1,175 exhibitors showcasing their latest technology and solutions and occupying 532,190 square feet of exhibit space. IPPE is the world's largest annual poultry and egg, meat and animal food industry event of its kind and is one of the 30 largest trade shows in the United States.
“The quantity and quality of attendees and level of energy at the 2023 IPPE was very exciting. As we heard from many attendees and exhibitors, the trade show floor was full,” commented IPPE show organizers. IPPE is sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, American Feed Industry Association and North American Meat Institute.
The 2023 IPPE had 27,712 registered attendees from the poultry and egg, meat and animal food industries. Domestic attendance made up 74% of the total number. Representing 125 countries, 26% of visitors were international. The largest group from a single country outside the U.S. was Canada, with 16.9% of registered attendees. As in previous years, Latin America had the strongest international presence, representing 45% of international visitors.
In addition to complementing the exhibit floor, a weeklong schedule of education programs helped drive attendance and provided information to industry professionals on the latest issues. The 2023 educational line-up featured 80-plus hours of sessions, ranging from regulatory issues pertaining to biosecurity as it relates to foreign animal disease, animal agriculture sustainability, market trends, facility inspection package training and a multilingual program focused on broiler and layer production and processing issues affecting Latin America.
The 2024 International Production & Processing Expo will be held Jan. 30–Feb. 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Show updates and attendee and exhibitor information are available at ippexpo.org.
