Turkey breast meat prices are recovering after a prolonged slump due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a WATT Poultry Chat interview, Dr. Thomas Elam, president of FarmEcon LLC, discussed turkey consumption, current frozen stocks and trends in pricing for turkey parts. His analysis shows prices of white meat cuts are increasingly steadily as foodservice providers reopen.

He forecasts prices will continue to increase if there is not another major setback for demand.
