Both the domestic and the export poultry market will likely remain relatively weak to close 2020.

In a WATT Poultry Chat interview, Christine McCracken, executive director for animal protein at Rabobank's RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness Division, said although there's been a rebound in food service demand that's helped poultry prices, the arrival of colder winter months will likely hurt operations that successfully shifted their operations outdoors in response to COVID-19.

There is also a continued threat of supply exceeding demand which could prevent a rebound in poultry prices before the year's end. However, feed cost pressure could push poultry producers to cut back production.
