Georgia Poultry Federation elects officers, chairmen

Greg Tench was elected as the 2009-10 chairman of the Georgia Poultry Federation during the annual meeting in Lake Lanier Islands, Georgia.

Greg Tench was elected as the 2009-10 chairman of the Georgia Poultry Federation during the annual meeting in Lake Lanier Islands, Ga. Tench is marketing director for Mar-Jac Poultry. He succeeds Charlie Westbrook of Cobb-Vantress.

Other officers elected are Barry Cronic, of Columbia Farms, as senior vice chairman and Mark Ham, of Cagle's, and Richard Jamison, of Perdue Farms, as vice chairmen.

Directors elected for three year terms are Gus Arrendale, of Fieldale Farms; Tommy Myers, of Wayne Farms; Vernon Owenby, of Tyson Foods; and Donnie Wilburn, of Harrison Poultry. Rory DeWeese, of Pilgrim's Pride, was elected for a two-year term. 

Carryover directors are Clay Banks, of Equity Group; Bill Crider, of Crider's Inc.; Mack Guest, of LAD Truck Lines; Jerry Lane, of Claxton Poultry; Doug Lee, of Sanderson Farms; Ken Long, of Pilgrim's Pride; and Richard Shewmaker, of Tyson Foods.
