Gradus upgrades poultry plant in Bulgaria

Gradus, the top poultry meat processor in Bulgaria, has announced a significant investment in its plant at Stara Gora in the south of the country.

Gradus, the top poultry meat processor in Bulgaria, has announced a significant investment in its plant at Stara Zagora in the south of the country, reports SeeNews.

A company statement reveals that the 16,000-square meter upgraded factory unit has a daily capacity of 50 metric tons of sausages, hams, pates and other products, and has cost BGN15 million (US$8.7 million).

According to the company’s website, Gradus is the largest poultry producer in Bulgaria. As well as a modern processing plant, the vertically integrated business owns a feed mill, hatchery, parent stock farms and broiler rearing facilities. Its product range includes fresh, frozen, flavored sausages, packaged and ready-to-eat.

Founded in 1992, Gradus now offers more than 150 different products and has a workforce of more than 1,100.
