Merger of French companies iD Projects, Ecat completed

The merger of iD Projects and Ecat has resulted in bringing together some of the best industry expertise in hatchery automation into one company.

The merger of iD Projects and Ecat has resulted in bringing together some of the best industry expertise in hatchery automation into one company. 

The new company - Ecat-iD - combines the industry knowledge and experience of both French businesses, increasing resources and production capacity, to meet rapidly expanding global demand. Ecat-iD also have the resources to provide high-quality global aftersales service and support throughout the world. 

This merger, which the company announced plans for in Feburary,  has also resulted in a significantly expanded research and development team which is focused on the development of pioneering products to tackle some of the industry’s future challenges, including animal welfare, biosecurity and improved optimization.

Commenting on the merger, Franck Pelissou, general manager, said: “Ecat and iDProjects were very compatible companies with highly complementary products and skilled staff. Our new company will be well-positioned to deliver our industry leading hatchery automation products to customers throughout the world.”
