The 2024 edition of the Sanderson Farms Championship golf tournament will be the last one under that name.

This year’s Sanderson Farms Championship, part of Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) tour, will be held September 30 through October 6 at The Country Club of Jackson, in Jackson, Mississippi, USA.

Sanderson Farms had been the title sponsor for the event since 2013. Sanderson Farms merged with fellow U.S. poultry producer Wayne Farms to become Wayne-Sanderson Farms in 2022. The combined company continued its commitment to the tournament for the past three years, but decided after this year’s event comes to a close, it will reduce its involvement.

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is proud to be the title sponsor of the Sanderson Farms Championship at the Country Club of Jackson,” said Clint Rivers, president and CEO of Wayne-Sanderson Farms.

“Although this year’s event is our final year as the title sponsor, Wayne-Sanderson Farms remains committed to supporting Children’s of Mississippi and other local charities through continued partnership with Century Club Charities and the PGA Tour. We’re honored to support the championship and its impact on Mississippi families, and we’re excited to continue our involvement with this great event.”

Since the Sanderson Farms Championship began in 2013, the event has raised more than $17 million for charity, including Children’s of Mississippi and other local causes.
